    The Context

This project s designed as a hidden palace in the forest, blending lush landscape, curved forms, and layered tropical living

    Initial Design
Architecturally, this project began with villa references that the client admired through the invest.in.bali account, which were then further developed through a more considered spatial approach. The design was refined by adjusting room proportions, circulation, and the layering of architectural elements to create a more mature and balanced composition.

    2 Bedroom Villa
The spatial composition of the 2-bedroom villa is highly focused and intentional. Both bedrooms are oriented directly toward the pool area from the first and second floors, creating a consistent visual connection while strengthening the relationship between the interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.

An outdoor staircase becomes a key feature of the architectural composition, connecting the ground floor to the rooftop while also linking to the second-floor balcony. At the top, a solid natural wood pergola combined with glass creates a balanced interplay between shade and openness. Touches of alang-alang reinforce the villa’s natural atmosphere, while long cable lighting introduces a warmer and more romantic ambiance in the evening.

Inside, the ceiling is accented with exposed wooden beams to add visual depth and strengthen the character of the space. The walls are finished with a paint wash treatment that gives them a softer, more natural appearance. In the ground-floor bathroom, a solid wood vanity brings warmth to the interior, while the second-floor bathroom features a stone-finished shower area paired with a skylight, allowing natural light to enter and creating a more dramatic spatial experience.

    3 bedroom Villa
While carrying a similar design language, the 3-bedroom villa introduces a stronger jungle-inspired approach. Upon entering the property, visitors are immediately greeted by a highly curved pool that creates a distinctive first impression, paired with lush landscaping that evokes the feeling of being immersed in a tropical forest.

The pool deck is finished with random-cut Jogja stone, reinforcing the villa’s natural character. A semi-outdoor sunken living area remains connected to the interior, creating a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. Arch-shaped elements with planter boxes above them add visual layering while strengthening the villa’s architectural identity.

The entrance door is designed with a castle-like presence, creating a dramatic arrival experience. From there, the living room opens up with a ground-floor ceiling height of 3.2 meters, giving the space a bright and expansive feel. The kitchen and dining areas are positioned close together, with direct views toward the outdoor sunken lounge and pool.

Each of the three bedrooms follows a different concept, offering a unique spatial experience in every room. Another distinctive feature of the villa is the inclusion of a “secret” design element, adding an unexpected layer to the overall living experience.

On the second floor, a balcony connects to the rooftop, where a jacuzzi area is surrounded by white stone. Before reaching the jacuzzi, there is a sitting area with a table designed for relaxing, creating a comfortable sequence of spaces and a more elevated sense of leisure.

Overall, this villa presents a blend of jungle atmosphere and royal character, creating an experience that feels like discovering a hidden palace in the middle of the forest.
